Ian Wright has hit out at the hypocrisy of Chelsea celebrating their qualification for the Champions League on the final day of the season.

Arsenal legend Wright has claimed his former side are held to a different standard compared to Chelsea, claiming he saw little to no criticism of the Blues squad as they celebrated squeezing into the Champions League on the final day of the season.

Chelsea won at Nottingham Forest to claim fourth place and went on to win the Conference League earlier this week. However, Wright was unhappy that little was made of the players' reaction in comparison to Arsenal, whose celebrations after certain victories have been tainted by conjecture from pundits who claim the Gunners have gone over the top.

WHAT WRIGHT SAID

Speaking on 's Seaman Says Podcast, Wright said: "But the thing is that if Arsenal celebrate anything like that, the celebration police come out. I watched it and I thought, 'I can't see no noise. Where's the noise?' "Chelsea are running up like they've won the Champions League and they've got fourth. And I'm thinking if Arsenal do that, then the people go crazy because we're held to a different standard. And I'm quite pleased about that. But when you look at Chelsea, they had to do that.

"With the money they've spent, PSR and everything that entails with Chelsea, they had to be in there."
