Aston Villa’s rise up the Championship table this season has been largely helped by the impressive performances by goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.
The 24-year-old has been a crucial figure at the Midlands outfit ever since January 2017 when he joined on an initial loan deal from Manchester United.
In the second half of the 2016-17 campaign, the shot-stopper kept more clean sheets than any other keeper in the second tier.
Villa managed to re-sign Johnstone on loan at the start of this season, and he has impressed once again by not conceding in 13 Championship fixtures.
The team are currently on a six-game winning streak, and in that time, they have conceded just three times.
In response to a video posted on the club’s Twitter page, fans praised their keeper and urged the Villans to sign him permanently when the transfer window reopens in the summer.
Meanwhile, Villa take on Second City rivals Birmingham City this weekend in the hope of moving from third up into the promotion spots.
