Tottenham’s official Twitter account has teased the imminent debut of new signing Carlos Vinicius, claiming that his first appearance for the Lilywhites is ‘coming soon’.Â

Vinicius, who signed on a season-long loan deal with an option to buy for £40m, could have supporters buzzing as his debut seemingly draws near.

Given the latest injury blow to star striker Harry Kane, it couldn’t have come at a better time either, with the England star currently affected by a muscular problem.

Tottenham’s social media team seem to have provided a significant boost regarding Vinicius, teasing supporters with a two-word message that his debut could be nearing.

Spurs take on West Ham next weekend when the Premier League returns, and supporters could see the 6 foot 3 (1.9m) ‘beast’ among the Lilywhites’ matchday selection.

Jose Mourinho’s men have started the season in fine form, battering Manchester United 6-1 at Old Trafford in their last league outing and crushing SouthamptonÂ5-2 at St Mary’s last month.

Vinicius’ presence in the team should only make Spurs even more deadly, especially considering he notched 24 goals in all competitions last season for parent club Benfica.

A powerful centre-forward, the 25-year-old also fits Mourinho’s mould of a physical and combative presence up front, and it will be interesting to see how he copes during his first taste of Premier League action.
