Mourinho is having a good time at Fenerbahce this season as he has led the Turkish side to second place in the Super Lig standings. It was revealed earlier this week that the Portuguese coach has undergone surgery and fans have been wondering how serious the issue could be as they sent prayers to the former Chelsea and Real Madrid boss.

Mourinho has now released a message to the public on Instagram and confirmed that he underwent ‘minor surgery’. He also eased the minds of concerned fans as he announced that the severity of the surgery was being overexaggerated.

On Instagram, Mourinho posted a message to the fans which read: “Wishing everyone a happy holiday season. May this time be full of love and happiness for you and your families.
“For those of you who have shown concern, I can confirm reports of my surgery have been greatly exaggerated, it’s just a quick and minor procedure. I will resume training on the first day back from the holidays, as always. I’ve never missed a session in 25 years, and I don’t intend to start now.”

Fenerbahce will be back in action after the Christmas and New Year break when they take on Hatyaspor on Sunday, January 5 and it is likely that Mourinho will be on the touchline for the clash.
