Despite Cole Palmer scoring four goals and his side running out 6-0 winners, the clash was overshadowed by an argument between a few of his players. Palmer, Noni Madueke, Nicolas Jackson and Conor Gallagher were in a heated discussion about who would take a penalty against the Toffees and Pochettino was asked several questions about the incident.

Pochettino grew annoyed by the questions and walked out. Before leaving the media room, he turned around to complain about the journalists only asking about the argument between the players. One journalist fired back that it had been "sh*t management of a press conference".
WHAT POCHETTINO SAID
Pochettino admitted that Jackson and Madueke were wrong to get into the argument with Palmer, but praised Gallagher for stepping in as the captain.
Asked if the players would be punished, he said: "No, no – it's not about punishment. It's learning. They are young guys, they behave like this. I think it was very good the reaction of [Conor] Gallagher like a captain. I think we cannot show that type of behaviour. That is a punishment for everyone because they all know if Palmer is on the pitch, he is the taker from the day he started to play."
He added: "I think we all agree this type of behaviour cannot happen again and they are wrong."
