United number one Andre Onana has flattered to deceive since joining from Inter Milan for £47.2m ($63m) in 2023. The Cameroonian has made many high-profile mistakes and chalked up unwanted records, too, since then. That, and more, is why the 6ft 8in Savic, whose contract runs until 2026, has been linked with an Old Trafford return – 10 years after leaving the club.
DID YOU KNOW?
Savic, 28, joined United in August 2014 for a fee of €1.75m when he was just 17 but he never made a first-team appearance for the club. This was partly down to failing to earn a work permit to play in England, and in 2015, he was sold to Lechia Gdansk in Poland.

It remains to be seen if United will go full out to try and sign the Serbian international, with Ruben Amorim's team also reportedly keeping tabs on Nice star Marcin Bulka as a goalkeeping option. Alternatively, they may stick with Onana after all.
