Napoli forward Matteo Politano saw his live interview with Italian television station Sky Sport ended abruptly by De Laurentiis ahead of his team's Champions League clash with Barcelona. The Napoli president rushed onto the pitch and shouted: "Politano! Politano! With you [Sky], he's not allowed to talk." De Laurentiis then led a rather bemused-looking Politano away, before turning back and insulting the cameraman and giving him a push.

De Laurentiis' actions come amid a spat between the Napoli president and Italian media. The club president has stopped pre-match news conferences, banned the team from talking to broadcaster DAZN and only wants players to speak with journalists either from Napoli or who support the club, according to ESPN.
WHAT SKY SAID
Sky Sport's Federico Ferri hit out at De Laurentiis after the incident in a post on X: "I'm speechless at what happened to our journalist and our cameraman: I condemn it without other comments. One thing is certain: we'll go ahead as always, with professionalism, accuracy, credibility. And courtesy."
